Learning to be mindful

Last term we started work on being mindful and thinking about making good choices.  We began by learning about the different parts of the brain and how we can look after it.
Then we practised sitting quietly and being mindful for a few minutes.

We went on to look at what happens to our brains when we are thinking about lots of different things.  We put glitter and little beads in a bottle and shook it to see what our brains might feel like.
It all seemed a bit muddled!

This term we are going to be looking at how we can use each of our senses to be mindful.  We put some food colouring into a cup of water and carefully watched what happened.
We made a list of what people saw.  Some words were very interesting and showed people were using their sight mindfully.
